Week #20: October 5, 2007

I had a nice response to the directory and will start on it next week. I am waiting on a few who requested time to get their description of their business ready. Several of you have sent in suggestions to be included in the directory, so I thought I would pass these along to you, as well as give those of you who are still thinking about it, another chance to send in your information. Here are a couple of the suggestions:

I'm wondering if it would make sense to ask folks if there's anything they'd like to barter (maybe sewing, cooking, furniture repair, etc.), or if there's anyone who is looking for a group to get together with..... walking, biking, moms and babies, dads and kids, artists, Greenway explorers, book club, dinner club, etc. This may offer something of value to members who aren't self employed or who don't work outside the home. My guess is that a lot of your clients would enjoy each other a lot, and would love to have a topic to meet around!

Thank you so much!
Jane

You might suggest that even if people don't work, they include themselves in the directory to help facilitate relationship building. They could list hobbies, interests, home-schooling, etc.

Lisa

I look forward to hearing from more of you for the directory and special interests! If you are interested or open to bartering services, please indicate your williness to participate in that as well.

I also want to remind you about the fall wiener roast and hay ride Sunday, October 21st. at 2 p.m. I hope you will mark your calendar and join us for a relaxing day of fun!
